The Assyrian Population

The Census measure Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Syriac Americans as a combined category in the United States Census. They are a Semitic group and Christian, originally from the area comprising northeastern Syria, northern Iraq, northwest Iran, and southeastern Turkey. The community is heavily concentrated in California and Michigan.
